CERTIFIED BEST
FOR KIDS
The Window Covering Manufacturers Association (WCMA) has introduced this third party certification program, the industry’s first, which was designed to help consumers identify window covering products that are best suited for use in homes or in facilities in which young children are expected to be present. The Best for Kids program requires manufacturers who’s products meet stringent criteria to submit those products to a third party testing laboratory recognized by WCMA for verification. Products which are eligible include shading systems which have no cords that can create a hazardous loop in or in any way create a potential wrap around hazard for young children.
Cordless and Motorized Shading System contain NO cords what-so-ever, making it easy to trust that these products are safe, but NOW, thanks to Best For Kids, you can be absolutely sure!
MANUAL SHADE SAFETY
As outlined by the ANSI and WCMA for corded window products, every Manual Clutch Shading System that leaves the INPRO WT® facility will come with a Child Safety Tension Device and all the necessary Safety Tags and Safety Labels attached, alerting the end user to the potential danger that loose cords may present to children.
Easy to install, each Child Safety Tension Device comes with Inside and outside Mount brackets, Two screws and instructions to ensure safe operation
The Child safety Tension keeps the drive chain taut so that it can not be pulled away from the wall and create a hezardous loop.
When not installed correctly, the Child Safety Tension Device renders the shade inoperable, ensuring proper installation of the device.q
The Child Safety Tension Device can be mounted to the wall, but may be sill mounted if a longer Drive Chain has been ordered.
Both the standard Child safety Tension Device and the Optional chain guard are provided in clear to remove the need of color coordinating to fabrics or other finishes
Our Optional chain guard is also ANSI/WCMA complaint, and provides a free hanging safety solution for areas where attachment of the standard tension device isn't possible on a wall or mullion.
Safety Tags and Safety Labels are printed in both English and Spanish.
